Preventive Maintenance for Fiber Laser Machines

Course Outline

• Day 1 Mechanics, motion and the machine body6 hours
  • Why machines fail: contamination, heat, vibration and neglected lubrication
  • Linear guides, racks and pinions: inspection, cleaning and greasing intervals
  • Belt and coupling checks, backlash and squareness of the gantry
  • Dust collection and fume filters: cleaning, replacing, and what a blocked filter costs you
  • Cabinet air conditioning, sealing and why cabinet dust kills drives
• Day 2 Optics, water, gas and the plan6 hours
  • The optical chain and where contamination enters
  • Cleaning protective windows, collimating and focus lenses without scratching them
  • Chiller water: TDS, temperature setpoints, flow alarms, changing water and cleaning the circuit
  • Gas lines: filters, drains, pressure regulators, leak testing and purity
  • Writing the maintenance plan and logbook for your own machines

Machines and Tools You Will Train On

GWEIKE and GAMMA fiber laser cutters, chillers, dust collectors, grease guns, torque tools, TDS meters and optics cleaning kits.
