One intensive day: marking software, fill patterns, parameters for annealing, engraving and colour marking, plus jigs and serial number automation.

What You Will Be Able to Do

• Set focus and marking field correctly for flat and round parts
• Choose parameters for annealing, engraving, deep engraving and colour marking
• Mark serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes that scanners read first time
• Build a simple jig so every part is marked in the same place
• Keep the lens and field clean so marks stay sharp

Course Outline

• Day 1 From artwork to a permanent mark6 hours
  • Fiber versus CO2: which material belongs to which source
  • Marking software: importing artwork, text, fonts, fills and hatch angles
  • Focus, field size, lens choice and the effect on mark quality
  • Parameter families: annealing, surface engraving, deep engraving, colour on stainless
  • Serial numbers, date codes, barcodes and QR codes
  • Jigs, rotary marking on round parts, and a full production run

Machines and Tools You Will Train On

GWEIKE fiber and CO2 marking machines, rotary attachment, steel, aluminium, brass and plastic samples.
